Bhubaneswar: Heavy Monsoon rains which hit the coastal region of Odisha since yesterday has put life out of gear in many places. The most affected cities are Bhubaneswar and Cuttack followed by towns of Paradip and Balasore. The most affected districts are those lying on the coastal belt.
The residents of the twin city of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack have a harrowing experience since morning as the rains water logged many roads and crossings bringing traffic to a halt and especially in lanes and by lanes which lack proper drainage system.
In the meantime the Bhubaneswar MET office has predicated more rains for the coastal belt in the next 24 to 48 hours due to the low pressure which is hovering over coastal Odisha and Andhra Pradesh.
