Bhubaneswar: Odisha government in its initiative of ease of doing business in the State took another step forward by launching the Mobile App for online tracking of the status of the applications submitted to Odisha pollution Control Board by various industries and start ups.
The Mobile App was launched by the State Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi at the Secretariat conference hall in the presence of Development Commissioner R. Balakrishnan and Member Secretary Odisha State Pollution Control Board (OSPCB) Rajiv Kumar, Senior Scientist OSPCB P. K. Prusty, Director Environment Devi Datta Biswal along with other senior members and technical experts.
Member Secretary Rajiv Kumar said that the Pollution Control Board developed this Mobile App and through this facility any industry can view their application status “Anytime Anywhere”. General public can also view and download the Consent order issued to any industry for their reference and use. The Mobile App can be accessed by smart phones and tablets. This app has been developed under Online Consent Monitoring and & Management System with the name OR-OCMMS.
According to Nihar Ranjan Sahoo an OSPCB official, this Mobile App has been developed with technical support from National Informatics Centre (NIC), New Delhi within a period of 2 months. The App can be installed on an android mobile from Google Play Store free of cost.
Any Stake holder or the public can also have a look at the type of application (CTO/CTE) date of submission of application, and the present application status. If the application has been approved in the meantime, the stakeholder can see and download the approved date and the approved /consent order. This Mobile App will make the consent management system quicker and transparent.
