New Delhi: Odisha Chief Minister sounded optimistic of a “sizable investment” in the state after he met ambassadors of at least 20 countries. The meeting held at Jawahar Bhawan was inaugurated by External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and both Swaraj and Patnaik met the ambassadors of countries participating in the meet. The diplomats were apprised and invited by Patnaik to attend the Make in Odisha Conclave scheduled to be held in the State from November 30 to December 02.
Patnaik talking to reporters after extending the invitation to probable investors said “we are certainly hopeful that a sizable investment would be done in our State. Several ambassadors have agreed to attend the meet.”
According to sources, Odisha has prepared over 125 projects to be showcased at the upcoming conclave planned in collaboration with the Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion (DIPP). The conclave would showcase the policy and regulatory environment, investment opportunities across focus sectors and manufacturing prowess of the state. The Odisha government has lined up sector specific policy launches prior to the conclave aimed at attracting investments to the State, sources added.
