Bhubaneswar: The ruling BJD party workers today protested against the celebrations of Vikas Utsav organised by BJP led NDA government in Bargarh town here on Friday.
According to TV reports, members of the ruling party have barged into a local Handloom Saree seller’s show room and ransacked the shop. Reports also suggest that Union Textile Minister Santosh Gangwar was supposed to hold discussions with some weavers at the venue. Along with Gangwara, union minister of state for Food Processing Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti was to attend the celebrations, sources added.
This event is being celebrated similar to that organised in state capital Bhubaneswar and other major towns of Odisha.
