Dengue Cases on Rise; CMC Issues Notice to Bottling Plant for Failure to Curb the Disease

Bhubaneswar: While 62 more dengue patients get admitted in the SCB Medical College and Hospital at Cuttack on Monday the situation seems to be grim as more are more dengue cases is on the rise. According to sources, apart from local dengue cases, patients referred from Keonjhar and Jajpur district is also on the rise. Out of all the patients admitted four cases are said to be critical and have been shifted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

With dengue cases on the rise in the city, the Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) has on Monday issue notice to the franchisee of aerated bottling plant, Tripty Drinks Pvt. Ltd, at Jagatpur industrial for having failed to take adequate measures in the spread of dengue surrounding the plant area. It is important to mention here that maximum dengue cases reported in Cuttack is from Jagatpur industrial area.
