Bhubaneswar: Over the sudden development of events regarding the suicide of the former manager Anang Manjari Patra of the Palace of Parlakhemundi Gajapati the Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday directed Crime Branch probe into the alleged mysterious suicide case. The local MLA K Surya Rao had also demanded a thorough probe into the incident.
Notably, Anang Manjari Patra was in the middle of the controversy for having kept the Parlakhemundi Gajapati, Gopinath Gajapati Narayan Deb under confinement for over a period of time. And as the allegation surfaced Anang Manjari and her siblings have been alleged to have committed suicide while one brother survived the suicide attempt and undergoing treatment at MKCG Hospital in Berhampur.
According to sources the Crime Branch is said to have constituted a six-member Special Investigation Team (SIT) led by a SP level officer. In the meantime local police on Monday has recovered three suicide notes and a diary from the deceased former manager Anang Manjari Patra’s room. The contents of the suicide notes still remain unknown.
