Bhubaneswar: Chief Minsiter Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday has ordered the Revenue Divisional Commissioner (RDC) Northern Range to conduct an inquiry over the attack on the Vehicle of Union Textile Minister Santosh Gangwar while he was at Bargarh Town to attend the Vikas Utsav celebrations last week.
The chief minister Naveen Patnaik’s order came at a time when Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has planned to hold demonstrations in 316 blocks across the State. BJP leaders had demanded immediate action against the perpetrators and also blamed the state government’s inability to control law and order in the State. Despite a scathing attack by the BJP it took some time for the State government to order an enquiry.
According to sources, CM Patnaik has asked to conduct the enquiry and submit the report within 60 days.
