Bhubaneswar: The three-member Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) parliamentary probe team comprising of MPs Vinay Sahasrabuddhe, Ramvichar Netam and Jyoti Dhurbe visited Ggumdumaha village in Kandhamal district today and spoke to the family members and relatives of the victims killed in the shooting by security forces on their way for a anti-Maoist operation.
Speaking to reporters the BJP national vice-president and Rajya Sabha MP Vinay Sahasrabuddhe attacked the BJD government and alleged that it failed to protect innocent people who lost their lives during an anti-Maoist operation in Kandhamal.
Jyoti Dhurbe also met women relatives of the families of the victims and was critical of the government for ‘failing’ to protect the people of the region. She said, “the State government has failed to protect these poor people, let alone do any development in the region. The administration has not given justice to these people. BJP is with the people, society and region of the State,”
After completion of the probe the three-member team is expected to submit a report to the BJP Party President Amit Shah on their return to New Delhi, sources added.
