BCCI Congratulates Indian Women’s team for 3-0 sweep against Sri Lanka

Mumbai: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) congratulated the members of the Indian women team for winning the three-match T20 International series against Sri Lanka.

In a press release, BCCI President Shashank Manohar said that the Women’s team has done consistently well, with T20I series win against Australia in Australia and now against Sri Lanka at home.

Manohar also congratulated Indian captain Mithali Raj for the consistency shown by her team and hoped the team would continues to build the momentum for the ICC World T20 2016.

The Indian women team had thrashed Sri Lanka by nine wickets in the third and final game to complete a 3-0 series whitewash.

BCCI Secretary Anurag Thakur also congratulated the team on their resounding victory in the T20 Internationals against Sri Lanka.

This is a result of their dedicated effort, which has translated into a series of successful performances, he said.
