BJD Expels Papu Pom Pom from Party after complaint of Sexual Assault against him

Bhubaneswar: The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on Wednesday in a press release said that it has expelled Tatwa Prakash Satpathy alias Papu Pom Pom from the party. The Odia Film actor is absconding over the past few days after sexual assault charges were levelled against him by a minor girl.

Bhubaneswar Police has been in the look out and has already issued notices to the actor and his associates to appear before the police for questioning.

Reacting to the development Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) responded by saying that the state government played a delaying tactics to arrest Papu Pom Pom to keep BJD’s image intact. BJP general secretary Bhrigu Buxipatra added that after Bhubaneswar Police issued notice against the actor that under pressure BJD acted against its member.

Papu Pom Pom was inducted by BJD party Supremo into the party in 2013 prior to the 2014 Assembly Elections. He had unsuccessfully fought the 2014 Assembly Election on a BJD ticket. The actor was also involved in promoting a Chit Fund Company that has swindled crores of rupees of investors from within and outside the State.
